Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
Develop detailed and accurate steel fabrication drawings based on project specifications, architectural drawings, and engineering calculations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and adherence to industry standards.
Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and assist in estimating material quantities required for projects.
Review and interpret structural drawings, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
Collaborate with the detailing team to ensure consistency and quality across all drawings.
Keep abreast of industry standards, software updates, and technological advancements to enhance drafting capabilities.
Address and incorporate feedback from project stakeholders to refine and improve draft designs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Steel Detailer/Drafter in the construction or steel fabrication industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, etc.) for steel detailing.
Strong understanding of structural steel design principles and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.
